LFP is proud to announce the new Spec 26 Spline Stage 3+ Package for the 2003-04 Mustang Cobra. The new Spec Stage 3+ Clutch Package is designed for the highly modified street/strip customers pushing big power (Perfect for Whipple, Kenne Bell, or Ported Blower Applications). Customers can take advanatage of SPEC's exclusive X-Pad material, which is a combination of carbon and ceramic material and a full face clutch disc. The Carbon material adds a little better feel for the street, while the ceramic material adds a more aggressive feel. Sharp but smooth engagement, light pedal, and a 800 rear wheel torque capacity.
The Stage 3+ features a streetable high clamp pressure plate and full face carbon semi-metallic disc. Listed as an upgrade to the stage 3, it offers torque capacities more comparable to the stage 5 but with drivability equal to, and in some cases better than, the stage 3. The high capacity and excellent drivability characteristics of this clutch is a result of years of research and development for this SPEC exclusive disc compound.
LFP also includes a 26 Spline upgraded input shaft to replace your stock 10 spline which is very weak and notorious for flexing and snapping at launch (Also necessary when upgrading to a 26 Spline Clutch). LFP includes a Throw Out Bearing (which needs to be replaced at the same time clutch and flywheel is repalced) and clutch alignment tool to get the job done right.
Combine the new Spec Stage 3+ Clutch with the Fidanza Lightweight aluminum flywheel and you have the ultimate driving machine. Fidanza aluminum flywheels are made from the highest quality 6061 T6 aluminum which is fantastic for strength, heat dissipation and of course reduction in weight. The friction surface used is an incredibly strong 1050 steel and plates are milled to meet high specifications.
