To get the most out of your Mustang, one of the first modifications we recommend is a lower (higher numerically) rear gear set. Ford Racing gears provide faster acceleration with slightly higher engine RPM at cruising speed. Maximizing the ability to get out of the hole quicker, Ford Racing 4.10 gears gives you much greater acceleration off the line vs. stock gears.

When installing your ring and pinion, you may need to consider replacing:

Pinion Bearings
Carrier Bearings
Crush Sleeve
Pinion Seals
Pinion Nut
Adjustable Carrier Shims
Pinion Shims
Silicone for Gasket
Gear Marking Compound
Lock-Tite

All these components are found in the Master Install Kit available as an additional option above "Add to Cart"
