The Bilstein shock is designed like Lightning Trucks, it's designed to perform. Bilstein Shocks provide a sporty and less "bumpy" ride than stock shocks. 1999 and 2000 Lightnings do not come equipped with Bilstiein Shocks, they use Motorcraft Ford shocks (the same shock as a regular F-150). The Bilstein replacement shocks will work fine on mildly dropped Lightning and Harley trucks and are a great upgrade from stock Motocraft Shocks.

Over time, shocks will loose their performance so we reccomend they be replaced about every 50,000 miles.
