AEM Brute Force Air Intake Systems are designed for popular trucks, SUVs and muscle cars. They are dyno-tested to create more torque and horsepower in large displacement engines. AEM's mechanical engineers emphasize tuning the resonance properties of the inlet pipe to help carry more air to the intake valves. Aluminum piping is used because plastic absorbs some of the sound energy manipulated to create the power and because mild steel is heavy and can rust. The plumbing is routed so that the filter draws air from the safest and coolest location, and provides a steel powder-coated heat shield to shroud the filter from engine heat and road dirt. Maximum flow is gained without sacrificing low-end torque.

DRYFLOW Synthetic Air Filter
Never oil a filter again! AEM's DRYFLOW Synthetic Air Filter, available exclusively with every AEM air intake system, uses no filter oil. The lightweight filter is cleanable and reusable. Its durable construction maintains the highest levels of filter efficiency standing up to repeated abuse without degradation. A mineral reinforced plastic interior cage increases the filter's structural rigidity keeping it from collapsing, even on diesels. There is no mesh screen so filter damage from bumps during installation or cleaning won't be a problem. Cleaning the synthetic air filter is easy and a cleaning solution (used with water) is included with each Brute Force Air Intake System sold.
Soft Mounts Flex With Your Engine (So Your Bracket Doesn't)
In addition to guaranteeing a perfect fit, AEM soft mounts, included with every AEM air intake system, provide a flexible pivot point for the intake where it mounts to the chassis to prevent added stress on the mounting bracket, which could cause it to break.
